| IEEE 1588 Synchronization Appliance |
The IEEE Precision Time Protocol (IEEE Standard 1588) is a comprehensive solution to precise
time synchronization between nodes of a distributed system. Our synchronization appliance is a
complete IEEE 1588 solution built using our Embedded Advantage architecture and delivered in an
industry standard PMC form factor module. It takes advantage of hard core FPGA based
processors running Linux, and soft task oriented co-processors for optimum IEEE 1588 time
stamping performance. Our synchronization appliance is complete: hardware, software, drivers,
and OS. On power-up it searches for a IEEE 1588 master clock and synchronizes to it. There is no
simpler way to add IEEE 1588 functionality to a system.
